Panda Bear Announces New Single Details

Panda Bear
Panda Bear has announced details of a forthcoming new single.

The Animal Collective member will release the single, “You Can Count On Me” and b-side “Alsatian Dar“, later next month.

The single is the second release off Panda Bear’s forthcoming release ‘Tomboy‘.

The forthcoming single, which will be limited to 500 copes, is out October 19 via Domino.

Fans can pre-order the album now on the Domino website.

Neil Young Announce New Album Details

Neil YoungNeil Young has revealed the track listing for his forthcoming album, ‘Le Noise‘.

Young is set to release his new album on September 27.

The forthcoming album, the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Fork in the Road‘, is set to feature 8-tracks.

New Zune HD’s Set For Release?

ZuneAs you undoubtedly know by now yesterday Apple announced their new iPod lineup.

Rumors are now claiming Microsoft will also soon reveal a new Zune HD to hopefully steal some of Apple’s thunder.

Although not confirmed, some reports suggest Microsoft is working on a new Zune with a Windows Phone 7-like update.

Microsoft has neither denied nor confirmed the rumors which doesn’t really mean anything since they rarely deny or confirm a rumor.

Well I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Paste Magazine Stops Print Publication

PastePaste Magazine has announced the suspension of the print version of their magazine.

The announcement was made via their magazine site, Pastemagazine.com.

“Today Paste Media Group announces, with deepest sadness, the suspension of the Paste magazine print product,” read the statement.

The magazine, which covers music, books, film, TV, and videogames, was in their eight year of publication.

Financial trouble, more specifically “mounting debt”, is cited as the reason behind the print suspension.

The online version of the magazine will continue unchanged.

Sony Announce Music Streaming Service

While Apple revealed their new iPod’s yesterday (9/1), Sony announced their very own music streaming service.

The new service, dubbed Music Unlimited, is designed to work with most of Sony’s current products of portable music players and stereos.

The cloud based digital music streaming service will give users access to millions of stored tracks via the internet which can be synced to their Sony device.

The service will will be going live by the end of the year, although no exact date was announced.

The band have personally selected three Etsy artist to design a unique silkscreen print insert, album poster and t-shirt.
