Tanya Andersen by all accounts seems like your typical 45 year-old single mother, however, Tanya may be a hero to millions of music lovers who hate the RIAA. A while back Tanya was accused by the RIAA of stealing music on the internet, well as it turns out Tanya wasn’t stealing. Like many she had Wifi internet and her young neighbor stole her I.P. (which is easy to do) and began downloading music. The neighbor was never charged, Tanya was. Luckily she was vindicated and now she’s turning the table on the RIAA and suing them for $5 million, citing conspiracy and illegal investigative practices. Andersen alleges the RIAA uses illegal means to obtain and pursue people who are then threatened and pressured into paying huge sums of money in out-of-court settlements without proper proof of any wrongdoing.

As for the RIAA response to the lawsuit? They are saying Andersen’s claims are false and that they are simply trying to protect their intellectual property.

The old saying “when pigs fly” may be a little closer to reality. It seems that the giant inflatable pig released during Roger Waters’ performance Sunday at the Coachella Music and Arts festival has gone missing. The giant balloon was covered in political graffiti which included a cartoon of Uncle Sam as well as several slogans. Organizers of the three day festival are offering $10,000 and four lifetime passes to the event for the safe return of the giant inflatable pig. If you have any knowledge of the whereabouts of the pig you are urged to send an email to lostpig (at) coachella.com.

UPDATE: PIG FOUND!
Via The Desert Sun

“Susan Stoltz called The Desert Sun this morning saying she and her husband found a glob of vinyl in their driveway yesterday at the Hideaway Golf Club in La Quinta. Not sure what it was, they threw it away. This morning, they read about the missing pig in the newspaper and e-mailed the following to Coachella organizers.

“It is entirely possible that I have at least part of your pig. My husband and I live at the Hideaway. We found a large pile of plastic yesterday morning on our driveway. It has some blue, yellow and silver paint. I must warn you that it is not in good shape. Maybe the balloon exploded or something. However, if you’d like to check it out, just let me know. ”

“We went and got the pig out of the trash and put him in the garage,” Stoltz said. “We have laughed our heads off.”

Another tangled, painted mess of what’s left of the pig has been found about a half a block away. That neighbor is not home, yet.”

Speaking to Rolling Stone Drummer Lars Ulrich said, “We’re looking at how we can embrace everything. We want to be as free players as possible.
