Starbucks goal of dominating the music business has been taken down a notch, the Seattle company has announced they will pull back on it’s entertainment division, which includes its Hear Music record label. Day-to-day management of the label will now be turned over to Concord Music Group. The announcement comes following poor sales in their coffee business. Hear music label, which was founded on March 2007 and is based in Los Angeles, had previously signed artist such as Paul McCartney. Concord Music Group will now manage the label and its artists.
