Last week we reported that Coldplay’s free online download of their new single ‘Violet Hill‘ had been downloaded by over 6000,000 people, now a week from its initial release, the track has been downloaded by over 2 million people. The track, which is off the band’s new album, “Viva La Vida“, is no longer available to download for free.

As previously reported, the band, in support of their new album, will play three free shows – in Barcelona, New York and London - this June.
