If you’re planning on illegally downloading
Guns N Roses leaked tracks from their forthcoming album, ‘Chinese Democracy’, you better think twice.
Kevin Skwerl, the blogger who leaked nine tracks from the forthcoming album has been questioned by the FBI. Two agents visited
Skwerl at his office and questioned him about the source of the files which he posted on his blog
Antiquiet last week before removing them after a take down notice from
Axl Rose’s attorneys. Skwerl, who is a former employee of
Universal Music, was asked by the agents to hand over the original files which he did not have. Speaking to
rollingstone.com Skwerl said he wasn’t worried about any legal action that might come from posting the tracks saying:
Axl Rose of Guns N Roses
“I’m not so worried about that. It’s a legal grey area since it wasn’t for download, it wasn’t a finished product. We aren’t sure who owns the recordings. I feel like I might survive this.”
The tracks were removed from his blog after ““a really cool guy from the Gn’R camp” asked for the take down.”He was trying to reach out and see if I’d go without a fight, which is more or less what I did,” said Skwerl.

If a band’s success is measured by the number of times their music is played on the radio, then Coldplay would be beyond successful. Chris Martin and Co. are set to have their very own US radio station on XM Radio’s channel 51. The station will only last one month and will coincide with their upcoming North American tour in support of their new album ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends‘, which kicks off July 14 in Los Angeles. ‘30 Days of Coldplay‘ will feature exclusive live performances from the band as well as interviews, rare tracks and more. The station will broadcast from July 15 until August 15. XM Radio is a pay-for-service satelite radio.

Are Former Libertines‘ Pete Doherty and Carl Barat writing songs together? Well according to The Sun they are. The pair had been reportedly writing songs together for a musical before Barat’s hospitalization for acute pancreatitis a couple weeks ago. The songs are so good, however, that the two are thinking of keeping some for themselves to record together. According to The Sun an “anonymous” source said the “songs have been pouring out of the pair and now they’re considering holding back a few compositions to record and maybe release in the future.” Although The Sun has, in the past, been wrong on a few things, let’s hope they aren’t wrong on this one.
