Tom Waits and Robert Smith are just a few of the artists that will get a chance to judge other songwriters as part of the International Songwriting Competition (ISC). The ISC offers fledgling songwriter a chance to win cash prizes and other goodies and not to mention being judged by fellow musicians much more successful then yourselves. Also set to judge the even are  Loretta Lynn, T-Pain, Neil Finn (Crowded House), Chaka Khan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels (Run-D.M.C.), Chris Hillman (The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers), Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20), Buckcherry, Youssou N’Dour, Tiësto, “Weird AlYankovic, Black Francis (aka Frank Black), Ray Davies (The Kinks) as well as several music industry executives. If you yourself are a fledgling songwriter you can take part in the event by submitting an entry via mail or online by October 15. If you’re good you can receive the grand prize of $25,000 in cash or $20,000 in prizes.
