If you were looking forward to the first annual Kidzapalooza, you’re going to have to wait another year. The kid-friendly music festival, which was founded by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, has been postponed until 2009. The event, which was to take place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this September, was postponed due to scheduling conflicts with artists. The new date, to be sometime in the summer, will be announced early next year when the Hollywood Bowl announces their 2009 season.

Kidzapalooza was supposed to be a companion to Lollapalooza, also founded by Farrell.

UPDATE: As Sally points out in the comments below, Kidzapalooza in Chicago is still on and takes place August 1-3 at Chicago’s Grant Park. Go to Kidzapalooza.com

Just so you know, Kidzapalooza Chicago is still on - running alongside Lollapalooza from August 1-3. The LA stand-alone version of Kidzapalooza is the only version that’s not happening until next year. I’m about to head out to Chicago for the whole experience and can’t wait! (by the way, I got this info from the official site: http://www.kidzapalooza.com)
