First it was Albert Hammond, Jr., then Fabrizio Moretti, and now Nikolai Fraiture has become the latest Strokes member to go at it alone. Fraiture has gone solo and formed a new group with help from a few well known musicians. Fraiture has recruited Regina Spektor and Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ guitarist Nick Zinner for his new band called Nickel Eye. Although the band has set up their myspace page at Myspace.com/officialnickeleye, songs have yet to be posted.
