Tokyo Police Club For FreeYrRadio

The Free Yr Radio campaign, which benefits independent US radio stations, is once again in full swing. The campaign, now in its second year, kicked off on March 3rd with Simian Mobile Disco. The concert series, which raises awareness and exposure for independent radio stations, continued last night (July 30) in Twin Cities with an in-store (at Urban Outfitters) performance by Yeasayer.  Still set to participate are Tokyo Police Club, Dan Deacon, and The Secret Machines. The bands are set for shows at Urban Outfitters stores in Philadelphia, Omaha and Salt Lake City. Previous artists who have participated in the campaign include Sonic Youth, Tapes n’ Tapes and the Klaxons. All shows are free but attendees are required to go online to FreeYrRadio.com and print out an e-ticket to be admitted into the event which is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
