Producer James Ford has revealed a few details about his latest project. Ford is currently working with the Klaxons on their highly anticipated follow-up to 2007’s ‘Myths Of The Near Future‘. Speaking to BBC Newsbeat about the Klaxons new album, Ford said: “I think they’re still trying to push forward so I don’t think it’s going to sound too much like the last record.”

“They’re trying to keep it melodic and vocal because that’s one of their great strong points,” he added.

Ford, who recently produced The Last Shadow Puppets‘ debut album, had a few things to say about his own band, Simian Mobile Disco. He revealed that they are currently working on a new album which will include a few special guests. “We’ve already done a track with Gruff Rhys from the Super Furry Animals, which is great, and one with Beth Ditto from The Gossip.” He said his new album will be released by the end of the year.
