The Clash Set To Release CD, DVD And Biography

Clash fans start raiding your drawers for loose change and get ready for the upcoming release of a new live CD, DVD and authorized biography from the band. The CD, entitled ‘Live At Shea Stadium‘, features the Clash’s entire opening set at the Who’s farewell tour which took place at the stadium on October 13, 1982. ‘Live At Shea Stadium‘, which is out October 7 (October 6 in the UK), will contain sixteen live performances including tracks ‘Rock The Casbah‘, ‘I Fought The Law‘ and ‘Clampdown‘.

Also from the Clash is a DVD currently available (in the US) called The Clash Live: Revolution Rock. The DVD features rare live performances that were previously unreleased as well as interviews including TV appearances. The Clash Live: Revolution Rock is available to US fans however fans in the UK will have to wait until October 6th to get their hands on it.

Finally, a new biography about the band titled The Clash By The Clash is set to hit store shelves on November 6 in the US via Grand Central Publishing (October 3 in the UK via Atlantic Books). The biography will include interviews with all band members –Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, and Topper Headon– which were conducted for the film Westway To The World.
