Babyshambles To Release Official Book

Babyshambles are set to release an official book mapping the rise of the band through their highs and lows. Formed by Pete Doherty in 2004 shortly after being kicked out of The Libertines, Babyshambles have managed to stay together despite several line-up changes.  The forthcoming book isn’t all about frontman Doherty speaking to BBC 6Music drummer  Adam Ficek said “there a lot of stuff regarding him and Kate (Moss)’s relationship, there’s a lot of stuff regarding his view on the no-shows, his view on drugs, his view on the arrests and persecution, relationships with band members. But the good thing about it is, it’s not a Peter book. It’s a book from our perspective as well, about how it affects us.”

“It gives you an insight into the kind of, like, the euphoric highs and the depressing lows of the band. And I think that’s what is important about this band,” explained Ficek.

The book, due out November 4, is set to feature interviews and contributions from each of the current band members.
