Manic Street Preachers are getting ready to enter the studio and begin work on their ninth studio album. The band revealed their recording plans on their Manic Street Preachers blog. Bassist Nicky Wire wrote that he and the band were ready to enter the studio next month and work on the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Send Away The Tigers‘.

“End of September, we’re hoping to start a new record,” Wire wrote. “I can’t really talk about it at the moment, but as far as we’re concerned, it’s booked and we’re going in to start recording properly around then.”
