Jack White and Alicia Keys have premiered the music video for their James Bond theme song, ‘Another Way To Die‘. The video features both Keys and the White Stripes frontman and will make its official film debut in the forthcoming James Bond flick, ‘Quantum Of Solace‘ due out November 14.


Oasis are giving their fans a chance hear their forthcoming album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul‘, before its October 6 release (October 7 in the US). The band has announced that they will preview their album, in its entirety, tomorrow (October 1) when it will be streamed online on their MySpace music page.  The album will be streamed for the rest of the week.

Vampire Weekend are showing their support for US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. The band has announced a free benefit show to take place at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA this Saturday (October 4). The free show is sponsored by Students for Barack Obama at Carnegie Melon University and is a Free Voter Registration Concert with the aim of encouraging people to vote. The benefit concert will be held at the College of Fine Arts Lawn and will be open to the public.

The band recently wrote on their MySpace page why they support the Democratic presidential candidate:

“For us, the choice in this election is incredibly clear. We support Barack Obama because on every issue we care about he is more logical, more sensitive, and less biased than John McCain. It’s important to talk openly about voting and we’re happy that we can contribute to the campaign, not only as individuals, but as a band.”

Kaiser Chiefs have announced plans to embark on a UK arena tour later next year. The jaunt, which will kick-off February 22, will be in support of their forthcoming album, ‘Off With Their Heads‘, due out October 20. Tickets for the arena tour which will run through March 2009 will go on sale Friday (October 3).

The Flaming Lips have announced the forthcoming release of their feature film, ‘Christmas On Mars‘, on DVD. The long-awaited film will be released on DVD on November 11 and will run 86-mintures. The DVD is also set to include special features including interviews with band members and a short featurette, entitled ‘From Drawings to a Movie: Inside Wayne’s Endless Yellow Notepad‘, detailing the development of the film.

According to Pitchfork, the film will also be released in a special edition package that will include a soundtrack CD of original Flaming Lips music.

Arctic Monkeys have announced that they will be performing at the Big Day Out Festival in Australia early next year. The festival which will run from January to February of 2009 will take place at several different cities and venues throughout Australia and will kick off Friday January 16th in Auckland. Tickets for the festival go on sale Wednesday October 8th via Bigdayout.com.

Oasis have announced the US leg of ‘Dig Out Your Soul‘ their world tour. The jaunt, in support of their seventh studio album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul‘, due out October 7th, will kick off December 3 in Oakland, CA. The tour will include stops in several major cities including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago and their return to New York’s Madison Square Garden on December 17.

Also for a limited time, when you purchase tickets for any of the shows through Ticketmaster, you will get an option to upgrade to a special package which contains your concert ticket, the brand new “Dig Out Your Soul” cd, and an exclusive Oasis t-shirt. Tickets for the US tour go on sale October 3rd. at 10am.

The Last Shadow Puppets are set to release the third single off their debut album, ‘The Age Of The Understatement‘, later next month. The single, entitled ‘My Mistakes Were Made For You‘ will hit store shelves in the UK Monday October 20th. The single will feature 3 live tracks recorded from their recent tour. The forthcoming single will be released on 2 x vinyl 7″s, CD and via digital download.

Franz Ferdinand have announced details for a special Brooklyn show set to take place later next month. The one-off performance is set for October 8 in Brooklyn, NY at the Music Hall of Wiliamsburg. Tickets for the intimate performance are now on sale via Ticketmaster.

Bob Dylan’s forthcoming album, ‘Tell Tale Signs‘, is set to be previewed online prior to its October 7th release. The singer has announced that his new album will be streamed in its entirety beginning Tuesday September 30 on National Public Radio’s Music website. The forthcoming double-disc compilation album is set to feature rare and unissued recordings.
