Coldplay have revealed to BBC 6music that they are set to release a new EP at the end of the year. The EP, which will be entitled ‘Prospects March‘, will be released in December and is rumored to include tracks left over from their sessions for their recent album, ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends‘. Frontman Chris Martin also revealed that the band are planning to release a new album in December 2009 but said they have yet to write any material for the album. “We’re going to put an EP out at Christmas called ‘Prospects March‘ and we’re going to release an album next December to end the decade,” Martin told BBC 6music.
