Richard “Rick” Wright, one of the founding members of Pink Floyd, has passed away. Wright, who was 65, passed away today (September 15) after battling cancer. A statement posted on David Gilmour’s website read “Richard died today after a short struggle with cancer.”

Wright served as the keyboardist for the legendary band and also contributed vocals as well as wrote music for such albums as ‘Dark Side of the Moon‘ and ‘Wish You Were Here‘.
