Andrew Bird, Les Savy Fav For Brooklyn Obama Benefit

Andrew Bird, Les Savy Fav and the Fiery Furnaces are only a few of the slew of artists both in music and comedy set for a New York benefit in support of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. ‘Barack Rock‘ is set to take place October 7 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn and will also see performances by Eugene Mirman, Lizz Winstead and Heather Lawless, among others. Also set to appear is a “special secret musical guest”. All proceeds from the Brooklyn benefit will go to the Obama campaign.
Attendees of the event will also get a chance to register to vote as well as watch that night’s presidential debate.
