My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James has announced a second acoustic show in support of US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

James, who is set to play at a similar benefit show tonight (October 8) at Schubas in Chicago, is now set to perform in support of the presidential candidate on October 16 at the Water Tower in Louisville, Kentucky.

All proceeds from both performances will go to the Obama Victory Fund.

DEVO have also announced a benefit show of their own. The band is set for show at the Civic Theatre in their hometown of Akron, Ohio on October 17 to benefit the Summit County Democratic Party.
