Jon Bon Jovi has found himself at the center of a billion dollar lawsuit brought against him by musician Samuel Bartley Steele.

Steele is suing the singer for $400 billion, claiming that Bon Jovi ripped off lyrics to his Boston Red Sox tribute song, ‘(Man I Really) Love This Team‘.

According to TMZ, Steele claims that in 2004 Bon Jovi, while campaigning for then Democrat Presidential nominee John Kerry, heard his song and ripped off lyrics from it.

Steele claims Bon Jovi’s ‘I Love This Town‘ includes several lyrics ripped off from his song ‘(Man I Really) Love This Team‘.

A spokesperson for Bon Jovi said they have yet to hear of any lawsuit.
