Joanna Newsom is showing her support for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama with a free show.

The singer is set to perform on Monday (October 20) at the Nightingale Concert Hall on the University of Nevada campus in Reno.

Unfortunately the show is only open to people with a Nevada State ID or drivers license, so out-of-state fans are out of luck.

The free show is to encourage people to vote in the upcoming election. Nevada residents don’t have to wait till November 4th to vote since the state has an early voting program which begins this Saturday (October 18) and runs through October 31.

Tickets for the free show will be handed out at 10am at the Joe Crowley Student Union.
