Yeah Yeah Yeahs Announce New Album Details

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have leaked a few details about their forthcoming third studio album.

In a posting on their MySpace page the band revealed that they are still hard at work on the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Show Your Bones‘.

The band also wrote that they are “damned” close to finishing the forthcoming album.

Unfortunately fans won’t get a chance to hear any new material until early 2009 when the album is expected to be released.

What about the new album’s sound? The band revealed that it won’t sound like its predecessor ‘Show Your Bones‘ or ‘Is Is‘ but “something closer to ‘Fever to Tell’”.

They also reassured fans that the forthcoming album will still sound like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
