Kaiser Chiefs’ One Member Short Following Keyboardist Hospitalization

The keyboardist was hospitalized after coming down with a bout of appendicitis and had to have his appendix removed on Thursday.
Doctors ordered him to avoid traveling on a plane and stay in Brazil for a few more days to recuperate.

The remainder of the band has flown to Los Angeles and will play the Henry Fonda tonight as planned.
The band made the announcement on their blog.
“We’ve made it to LA, but unfortunately we’re a man down. We didn’t want to make a drama out of it so we kept this quiet until now. Peanut had to have an operation to remove his appendix on Thursday, so he’s been in a hospital in Brazil for a few days. The operation was a success, he’s ok, and managed to play with us at Planeta Terra in Brazil on Saturday night, but he’s unable to fly to USA until Wednesday.”
