Grizzly Bear fans will be sad to learn that the band will no longer be appearing tonight (May 20) on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman‘.

The band were all set to premier a new song, ‘Ready, Able‘, on the late night talk show and were to be backed up by a string quartet.

Unfortunately producers for the show had to bump the band because they were short on time.

Grizzly Bear frontman Ed Droste announced the cancellation on his Twitter page.

“Well after much rehearsal and preparation, we will not be on Letterman tonight. We were about to walk on when dave said “we ran out of time” .”

Tonight’s guests are Stephen Colbert and General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz.
