Beatles: Rock Band Details Announced

The highly anticipated Beatles edition of the popular Rock Band video game series is set for release later this summer.

Beatles: Rock Band‘ is set to hit store shelves September 9.

The game, which was created by MTV, Harmonix and Apple Corps, will, at its release, feature 45 songs from the band.


At the E3 Media & Business Summit BeatlesPaul McCartney and Ringo Starr along with Yoko Ono Lennon, and Olivia Harrison announced more details about the forthcoming video game.

The group announced the games storyline would follow The Beatles‘ career from 1963 to 1969 and will feature three-part harmony allowing three players to play on any given track.

Also announced were plans to release the popular track, “All You Need Is Love” as an Xbox 360 download on September 9 with proceeds from the download going to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
