Jarvis Cocker Becomes A Radio Host

Jarvis Cocker is set to host his own radio show on BBC 6 Music beginning early next year.

The musician will take over the Sunday afternoon slot (3:30 – 5:30pm) on the U.K. station beginning January 10, 2010.

Speaking to the BBC about the hosting gig, Cocker said, “Sunday doesn’t feel that different to the other days of the week anymore. Although there was something weird about when everything seemed to stop on a Sunday, it kind of marked out the week. I am going to put the boringness back into Sunday. That’s my mission.”
