Sigur Ros Scrap New Album, Take Indefinite Break

Sigur Ros have revealed they have scrapped material they had been recording for a new album.

Speaking to Spinnermusic.co.uk frontman Jonsi Birgisson dismissed rumors that the band would be releasing a new album this year.

Jonsi revealed that the band had scrapped recording after a few weeks in the studio.

“We haven’t got another [Sigur Ros] album ready. It was just a rumour. We started to record something, but then we chucked it all away. So I think we are going to have to start it all again,” revealed the frontman.
