The latest version of Google‘s mobile operating system, Android 2.2, has reportedly been suffering from audio problems.
Users who have the latest version of the OS installed, which mostly include Evo and Droid owners, are reporting bad sound quality when streaming music on the device.
Users who use music streaming services such asPandora, Last.fm, TuneWiki, and the recently launched MOG are reporting “low”, “uneven”, and “echo-y” sound when playing music on their mobile device.
The good news is that Google is aware of the issues which seems to stem from Android 2.2‘s framework switch.
According to a spokesperson Google has fixed the bug and is currently working with their mobile partners to release an update and fix the problem.
Unfortunately no time frame was given for the release of the update.
Past updates have taken months to fully roll out which leaves affected users with no other option then to find an alternative way to listen to music on their phones.
