Sigur Ros‘ Jonsi has pulled out of his remaining in-store performances.
Jonsi was due to play six more in-store acoustic performances but has cancelled all dates.
The musician dropped the remaining dates after his in-store performance at Los Angeles’ Origami Vinyl on Sunday (October 17).
In a message posted on Jonsi.com, his management stated that the intimate setting was “the most uncomfortable experience of his [Jonsi's] ten years in the public eye”.
“Jonsi was always skeptical about how it [the instore shows] would pan out in reality,” read the statement. “Standing there nose-to-nose with fans in the cold light of day the other day in Origami Records, Los Angeles, he had the sudden and undeniable realization that this is not the environment in which he flourishes.”
