Ra Ra Riot bassist Mathieu Santos is set to release his debut solo album ‘Massachusetts 2010‘ early next month on Barsuk Records.
Yesterday (7/13) Santos premiered his new album, which is set for release August 2, in the most unusual of environments, a digital avatar packed party room.
The bassist hosted his own room on the popular Turntable.fm and premiered the solo album to a legion of avatars in the room.
For those not familiar with the service, Turntable.fm allows users to host their own themed music room where their avatar can spin tracks from a large catalog of music.
Santos is among a growing number of artists turning to Turntable.fm to showcase new material, other artists who have premiered material on the service include Diplo and Major Lazer.
