Muse To Begin Work On New Album Next Month

Muse are set to enter the studio next month to begin work on their new album.

Speaking to Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe, bassist Chris Wolstenholme said, “September and October, that’s when we’re going to get into the studio to start writing the new album.”

The forthcoming album will be the follow-up to 2009′s ‘The Resistance‘, an album the band has been continuously touring in support of since its release.

“I think by the time you’ve finished touring an album, which is usually a two-year cycle, it’s something you start thinking about a lot. It’s difficult to bring new songs into the live set before you record them with the internet and dodgy recordings of live songs getting out there before they’ve been released on an album,” said Wolstenholme.

Wolstenholme did not reveal when the band plan to release the new album. [via BBC Newsbeat]
