After premiering exclusively (other than the Tribeca Film Festival) on Showtime this past August, Kings of Leon‘s documentary, Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon, is set for DVD release.
The film, which centers around the history of the band and their childhood, was directed by Followill family friend Stephen C. Mitchell and features home videos, interviews with the band and their family, and behind-the-scenes footage.
‘Talihina Sky‘ will be released on both standard DVD, Blu Ray, and digitally via iTunes.
The DVD and Blue Ray release of the film will include 30 minutes of bonus features including scenes not included in the film, along with two commentaries from the band and filmmakers and home-movie footage.
