Tracks by Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek are available for free online. Ficek recently launched the website for his solo project entitled ‘Roses, Kings, Castles‘ and in order to celebrate the launching he’s giving away free music. Ten previously unreleased demos, many of which are expected to appear on his debut album, are currently available to download at RosesKingsCastles.com. Ficek’s debut album also entitled ‘Roses, Kings, Castles‘ is due out September 22.

Kaiser Chiefs have announced a handful of US shows for this November. The band are set to play shows in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York and are expected to preview material from their forthcoming album, ‘Off With Their Heads‘ which is due out October 14.

Recording from Atlantic Sound studio in Brooklyn, Jet has given fans an update, via video, on the progress of their forthcoming album. On the video that band says they are currently hard at work on the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Shine On‘ writing new material both individually and as a group. The band, however, did not reveal a release date or a name for the forthcoming album.

Popular radio host Howard Stern is set to produce a remake of the 1970 movie ‘Rock N Roll High School‘. Stern, along with producer Larry Levinson are set to remake the movie which starred the Ramones. Stern and Levinson have hired Alex Winter, best known as the co-star of ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ and ‘Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey’, to write the screenplay for the film. ‘Rock N Roll High School‘ was about a group of rebellious students who, with help from the Ramones, overthrew their mean, conservative school principal. It is not yet clear who will play the Ramones‘ in the remake.

The track listing for TV On The Radio’s forthcoming album has been unveiled. ‘Dear Science,’, the follow-up to ‘Return To Cookie Mountain‘ is set for release on September 23 in the US via Interscope with a release everywhere else the prior day (September 22). TVOTR are set to tour North America in support of the new album in September. The massive jaunt kicks off on September 5 in Portland, OR and runs through November 8 in San Diego.

New York rockers The Walkmen have teamed up with AmieStreet.com for a pre-release of their new album ‘You & Me‘ to benefit charity. The album isn’t due out until August 19, however if you head over to AmieStreet.com you can purchase the album for only $5 with the entire amount going towards the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

You & Me‘ is the follow-up to 2006’s ‘A Hundred Miles Off‘.

Bob Dylan has announced the forthcoming release of ‘Tell Tale Signs‘, a double-disc set of rarities spanning the last two decades. The double-disc set will hit store shelves on October 6 and will include demos, unreleased studio recording and rare songs from soundtracks including some live versions. All the tracks were recorded between 1989 and 2006. ‘Tell Tale Signs‘ will also be available as a triple-disc set which will feature an extra disc of rarities as well as rare photos and a hardcover book of Dylan’s singles artwork.

The Killers are reportedly in the midst of finishing up recording their third, yet-untitled, album set for release in November. According to Gigwise, a source close to the band’s record label, Island Records, say Brandon Flowers and Co. are currently in their Las Vegas studio wrapping-up recording the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Sam’s Town‘. Said to be producing the album is Stuart Price, who previously remixed the band’s debut album song ‘Mr. Brightside‘. The Killers previewed two new tracks, ‘Spaceman’ and ‘Neon Tiger’, from the forthcoming album at their exclusive show on Tuesday (July 29th) at New York’s Highline Ballroom.

The White Stripes’ Jack White and Alicia Keys are set to record the theme to the forthcoming James Bond film, ‘Quantum Of Solace‘. The song, entitled ‘Another Way To Die‘, will be the first duet in James Bond history. Billboard is reporting that the White Stripes frontman wrote and produced the track and will also play drums. As you may recall several artists had been rumored to sing the theme song for the film and earlier this year Amy Winehouse and producer Mark Ronson recorded a theme song but later pulled it after Ronson said Winehouse wasn’t “ready to work on music yet.” ‘Quantum Of Solace‘ is due out November 7 in the US.

What do you get when you combine a blood brother and pretty girl? Well, you get love, Jaguar Love. Jaguar Love is the new band of ex-Blood BrothersJohnny Whitney and Cody Votolato along with ex-Pretty Girls Make Graves multi-instrumentalist J Clark. Their debut album, ‘Take Me To The Sea‘, isn’t due out till August 19 but if you just can’t wait to hear them you can head over to the band’s MySpace and hear a few tracks. You can also catch Whitney and co. as they continue their tour throughout the US in support of the new album with a stop in Salt Lake City, Utah tonight (July 30) where they will be opening up for The Faint.
