The Presets have announced detailed for a forthcoming North American tour.

The extensive jaunt is set to kick off March 27 in Tallahassee, FL and will run through April 20.

Among the dates announced are shows in Miami, New York, Montreal, Seattle and San Francisco.

The duo are set to wrap things up on April 20 in Pomona, CA.



The Presets

The Duke Spirit and The Little Ones have announced plans to play a benefit concert in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The concert will be in support of an L.A. area elementary school and is set to take place this Saturday (December 20).

Tickets for the benefit show, taking place at the Daniel Webster School in Pasadena, California, are only $10.

All proceeds from the gig will go toward music and art education for the school.

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead have mapped out dates for a US tour set for early next year.

The jaunt, in support of their forthcoming album ‘The Century of Self‘, will kick-off February 19 in Dallas, TX.

Among the dates announced are shows in Brooklyn, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco where they will wrap things up on March 16.

The Century of Self‘ is due out February 17.



And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead

The Decemberists, Grizzly Bear, Feist, Spoon, and Arcade Fire are only a few of the artists featured on the forthcoming ‘Dark Was the Night‘.

The double-disc album, due out February 17, is a benefit compilation album whose proceeds will benefit the Red Hot organization’s work with AIDS research.

The benefit album, which features a slew of collaborations including Feist and Grizzly Bear, was curated by the National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner.

Cat Power, Andrew Bird, My Morning Jacket, and, of course, the National are also featured on the album.

Andrew Bird is set to release his latest album ‘Noble Beast‘ on February 2, 2009.

The Deluxe Edition of the forthcoming album is set to include a collection of new instrumental works titled ‘Useless Creatures‘.

Fans that head over to Andrew’s website can preview, ‘Carrion Suite‘, a track from the collection.

Sonic Youth are set to play the forthcoming No Fun Fest 2009.

The three-day festival is set to take place on May 15, 16, 17 2009 in Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

The daily schedule along with ticket info. including prices will be announced by January 12.



The Twang have mapped out dates for a forthcoming UK tour set for next year.

The extensive jaunt will kick-off February 2nd in Norwich and will include stops in Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and Sheffield.

The band will reportedly preview material from their forthcoming album on the tour.

The follow-up to 2007’s ‘Love It When I Feel Like This‘ is slated for release in spring of next year.

Simian Mobile Disco have announced dates for a forthcoming North American tour.

The duo, who are currently in the midst of a European jaunt, are set to kick off the US and Canadian tour on March 13 in Seattle, WA.

Among the dates announced are shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Toronto, and Brooklyn.

The 15-date tour is set to be wrapped-up on April 25 in Baltimore, MD.

The Raconteurs, My Morning Jacket and Pearl Jam are among the artists featured on the forthcoming ‘Live from Bonnaroo 2008DVD.

The DVD features handpicked live performances by 16 bands who performed at last years festival including Gogol Bordello, Metallica, Tegan And Sara, and Jack Johnson.

The DVD was directed by Sam Erickson and the audio has been remixed from the Bonnaroo master tapes in stereo and 5.1 surround.

Live from Bonnaroo 2008‘ is due out in January.
