The band unveiled to artwork for ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand‘ to NME.
The new album is set for release January 26.

The compilation was released exclusively through iTunes and includes tracks by The Pretty Things, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd and Elvis Presley.
The compilation also includes comments alongside each track written by Gallagher.

The video was created by Kota Totori as part of the band’s Animated Video Contest.
The contest asked fans to create videos for tracks off the bands’ ‘In Rainbows‘ album.
We previously told you MySpace would be premiering winning fan videos during this month.
The final winning video to be premiered will be for ‘Videotape‘ and will be released on November 29.
Radiohead previously released their own music video for the song.

The song is the title-track of their latest album.

Fans can preview the album in full via the band’s MySpace page.
‘Day & Age‘ was released today.

The short 3-day jaunt will see both bands’ play at colleges in Carrboro, NC, Gainesville, FL, and Nashville, TN.
All shows are open to the public with only a $5 entry fee.
The tour is sponsored by Green Label Sound, a singles only music label.
Both the Cool Kids and Matt and Kim released singles on the label this year.
The singles are free to download now via Green Label Sound’s website.

The band will play dates next year while they continue to work on the follow-up to 2001’s ‘Rock Steady‘.
The announcement came via a transcript of a instant message conversation on the bands official website.
“I have cabin fever. Maybe we should play some shows or something,” wrote guitarist Tom Dumont.
“I’m down to play, it’s been too long.” replied bassist Tony Kanal.
“I think we should go out now. I don’t think we should wait. Pack up the babies and get a bunch of nannies. So fun! Would be so inspiring to get out there and play all those songs again,” added frontwoman Gwen Stefani.
No other details were given in the conversation, which you can read now on their website Nodoubt.com.

The music video was created by Tobias Stretch as part of the band’s Animated Video Contest, which asked fans to create videos for tracks off the band’ ‘In Rainbows‘ album.
MySpace will be premiering the remaining fan videos for ‘Weird Fishes‘ (just released), ‘15 Step‘, and ‘Videotape‘ over the next three weeks.
Last month saw the music video release of ‘Reckoner‘ created by Clement Picon.

You can preview the album, in its entirety, on the band’s MySpace Music page.
‘Chinese Democracy‘ is due out November 23 exclusively through Best Buy stores.
