The digital-only EP is set for release November 25th via iTunes.

The EP entitled, ‘A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All!‘, is part of a Christmas special, by the same name, to be hosted by The Colbert Report anchor airing this Sunday (November 23) on Comedy Central.

The television special will feature performances and appearances by Feist, Toby Keith, John Legend, Willie Nelson and Jon Stewart.

The track is off their forthcoming six-track mini-album, ‘A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like a Kiss)‘, which is part of the band’s deluxe edition of their debut self-titled album, due out December 1.

Glasvegas‘ debut album hits the U.S. on January 1st.

The singer, who suffers from Asperger Syndrome, has seen his mental condition deteriorate over the past month.

The announcement came via the band’s website, which read:

“It is with a great deal of regret that The Vines today announced that they have cancelled all of their Australian festival appearances -  Homebake, Pyramid Rock and Big Day Out - and their forthcoming Japanese tour scheduled for  late November .

The song, ‘A Christmas Duel‘, will be released as a free download on November 28 and will also be made available for purchase on December 2nd.

In a post on their website, The Hives wrote: “The Hives have recorded a Christmas tune that might be out in time for the Holidays. The song is waiting to be mixed but people who have heard it are raving about the greatness of the track.

The song is a duett with Cyndi Lauper and we can hear her and Howlin´ singing their hearts out for Christmas time.”

The track is the first single off their recently released self-titled debut album.

The video was directed by Thunderbird.

The video was directed by Kris Moyes who has worked with Cut Copy, the Presets, Hercules and Love Affair, and Wolfmother.

The track is taken off the band’s latest album ‘Consolers Of The Lonely‘.

The Vern Moen directed film takes fans behind the scenes of the making-of the band’s latest album, ‘Loyalty to Loyalty‘.

‘02.08 to 06.08‘ will be available exclusively on Youtube for only one week.

The film is also available with the deluxe edition of ‘Loyalty to Loyalty‘.
