BabyshamblesAdam Ficek has mapped out a solo UK jaunt.

Ficek solo project, Roses, Kings, Castles, will be touring the UK early next year.

Kicking off January 5, the tour will see Roses, Kings, Castles play several major cities including Cambridge, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham.

Ficek is touring in support of his recently released self-titled solo album.

Jenny Lewis, Lou Reed, She & Him, and Tony Bennett are only a few of the artists lined up to guest on Elvis Costello’s new talk show.

The singer has revealed details of a new talk show he will be hosting on the Sundance Channel.

Spectacle: Elvis Costello With…” will begin airing December 3 and will also see appearances by Rufus Wainwright, Herbie Hancock, Norah Jones, Rosanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Diana Krall, John Mellencamp and former President Bill Clinton.

Elton John, who will be Costello’s first guest, is the show’s executive producer. (via Pitchfork)

The StrokesFabrizio Moretti has announced an in-store performance by his sideproject band, Little Joy, set for Monday (November 17).

The performance will take place at the Virgin Megastore in Union Square and will begin at 7pm.

The band will be playing songs from their debut self-titled album, which was released last week (November 4).

Franz Ferdinand, Santogold and the Kooks are all set for one of the first music festivals of 2009.

Southbound Fest will take place January 2-3, 2009 in Busselton, Australia and will see appearances by the Hives, Late of the Pier, Tegan and Sara and many more.

Unfortunately tickets for the two day festival are sold out.



Black Kids have announced a handful of US show set for early next month.

The short four day jaunt will kick off December 6 in Providence, RI and run through Austin, TX.

The tour is in support of their debut album, ‘Partie Traumatic‘, released earlier this year.

Kings Of Leon have announced details for a pair of arena shows to take place next year in the UK.

The two dates announced are set for June 15 and June 22 of 2009.

The June 15th show will take place at the O2 Arena in London while the June 22nd gig is set for the Evening News Arena in Manchester.

Tickets for both dates go on sale Friday (November 14) at 9am (GMT) and will cost £32.50 + booking fees.

The Followill boys are also set for an extensive UK tour to kick off in December.

Los Campesinos! are set to embark on a tour of the US early next year.

The jaunt, in support of their forthcoming album ‘We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed’, is set to kick off January 15 in Baltimore, MD.

We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed’ is due out November 25.

Cut Copy have mapped out a North American tour to kick off next year.

The jaunt, in support of their latest album ‘Ghost Colours‘, will see the band play dates in several major cities including Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.

Supporting the band on the jaunt will be Matt and Kim.

Jimmy Eat World Are set to embark on a ten-date tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their third studio album, ‘Clarity‘.

The band is set to kick off the jaunt to celebrate the album, which was released in 1999, on February 23 of next year.

Each date on the tour will see the band perform the album in its entirety.

Kaiser Chiefs will be one member short at their Los Angeles show tonight after keyboardist Peanut was hospitalized in Brazil.

The keyboardist was hospitalized after coming down with a bout of appendicitis and had to have his appendix removed on Thursday.

Doctors ordered him to avoid traveling on a plane and stay in Brazil for a few more days to recuperate.
