Kings Of Leon have announced a string of US tour dates set for early next year.

The Followill boys, who are set to kick off their European tour December 1, will return to the States for a six date jaunt.

The U.S. tour, in support of their fourth album ‘Only By The Night‘, will kick of January 20 in Louisville, KY and will include stops in Indianapolis, Kansas, Chicago and Columbus, OH before wrapping up on January 29 in New York.

The January 29 date in New York will see the boys play the world famous Madison Square Garden.

Snow Patrol have announced three free U.S. shows to take place early next month.

The free shows, sponsored by music website Shockhound, will take place in Arizona, Las Vegas and San Diego.

A limited number of free tickets for the forthcoming shows will be available on ShockHound.com on a first-come, first-serve basis starting November 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. PST.



Snow Patrol

Radiohead has begun mapping the first few dates of their forthcoming 2009 tour.

The band have confirmed three shows set to take place next year.

The first two dates announced will take place in Mexico City on March 15 and 16 and a third date will take place March 27 in Santiago, Chile.

More dates have yet-to-be announced.

The forthcoming V Festival Australia has revealed the first acts to take part in the third annual festival.

Among the bands’ announced are The Killers, Snow Patrol, and Kaiser Chiefs.

The festival, which takes place in different locations on different dates, officially kicks off in Sydney on March 28, 2009.

Pre-sale tickets are now available at Virgin Mobile stores, while regular tickets go on sale Friday November 28.

Andrew Bird has announced dates for his 2009 U.S. tour.

The jaunt, which kicks off January 28 in New York, will see the singer play dates in several major cities including Orlando, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland.

The tour will be in support of his forthcoming album, ‘Noble Beast‘, due out January 27, 2009.

Black KeysDan Auerbach has announced the forthcoming release of his debut solo album.

Auerbach, who makes half of the Black Keys duo, will release his album, ‘Keep It Hid‘, on February 10, 2009.

The release will be followed by a tour in support of the debut which kicks off February 28 in Washington.

Auerbach both produced and engineered the record himself.

Regina Spektor is set to perform at the 3rd annual Roe On The Rocks gig.

The benefit show, which will take place January 22 at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan, will raise money for the New York City’s Planned Parenthood.

Pre-sale ticket for the gig, which will cost $35, go on sale this Wednesday (November 19) through American Express and Planned Parenthood.

The Vines have been forced to cancel all their upcoming Australian festival appearances as well as their forthcoming Japanese tour due to frontman Craig Nicholls‘ mental condition.

The singer, who suffers from Asperger Syndrome, has seen his mental condition deteriorate over the past month.

The announcement came via the band’s website, which read:

“It is with a great deal of regret that The Vines today announced that they have cancelled all of their Australian festival appearances -  Homebake, Pyramid Rock and Big Day Out - and their forthcoming Japanese tour scheduled for  late November .

Pete Doherty has announced a series of solo shows set for later next month.

The Babyshambles‘ frontman is scheduled for three dates at the Whitechapel Rhythm Factory in London on December 20, 21 and 22.

Crowded House singer Neil Finn’s is set to release a solo album sometime next year. Some guest on Finn’s new album will include former Smiths‘ guitarist Johnny Marr, Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien and Phil Selway.

Marr, O’Brien, Selway along with multi-instrumentalist Lisa Germano were all guest on Finn’s last solo album, 2001’s ‘7 Worlds Collide‘, and will all return again for the follow-up.

According to the Crowded House‘ official website, other confirmed guests include, Wilco members Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Glenn Kotche and Pat Sansone, KT Tunstall, along with NZ musicians Liam Finn, Don McGlashan and Bic Runga.
