Cut Copy have mapped out a North American tour to kick off next year.

The jaunt, in support of their latest album ‘Ghost Colours‘, will see the band play dates in several major cities including Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.

Supporting the band on the jaunt will be Matt and Kim.

Jimmy Eat World Are set to embark on a ten-date tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their third studio album, ‘Clarity‘.

The band is set to kick off the jaunt to celebrate the album, which was released in 1999, on February 23 of next year.

Each date on the tour will see the band perform the album in its entirety.

Kaiser Chiefs will be one member short at their Los Angeles show tonight after keyboardist Peanut was hospitalized in Brazil.

The keyboardist was hospitalized after coming down with a bout of appendicitis and had to have his appendix removed on Thursday.

Doctors ordered him to avoid traveling on a plane and stay in Brazil for a few more days to recuperate.

Vampire Weekend are set to collaborate with Chromeo at the forthcoming mtvU Woddie Awards.

The awards ceremony, which will take place this Wednesday (November 12), will see both bands performing together to Vampire Weekend’s ‘The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance‘.

Also on the line-up for the event is The Cool Kids who are set for a collaboration of their own with Asher Roth.

Asher Roth and The Cool Kids will perform Roth’s ‘I Love College‘ and The Cool Kids, ‘The Delivery Man‘.

The mtvU Woodie Awards is the only awards ceremony where the winners are picked only by college students.



Vampire Weekend

Bloc Party, CSS, Black Kids, and The Pretenders are all set for ‘Wreck The Halls‘.

The holiday concert will take place December 10 at Los Angeles’ Club Nokia and is being sponsored by LA radio station Indie 103.1.

Tickets for the special holiday concert are now available via Ticketmaster.



Lenny Kravitz has been forced to cancel the remainder of his Canadian tour due to a throat infection.

The announcement was posted on the singers MySpace page and read:

“It with great regret that Lenny Kravitz has had to cancel the remainder of his Canadian tour. Lenny is suffering from severe throat problems that have resulted in him not being able to sing or even talk.”

No word if the canceled dates would be rescheduled.

Klaxons, Cut Copy, the Preset and Hercules and Love Affair, are a few of the artists set to take part the Neverland tour.

The four date tour will see all the bands perform in select venues throughout Australia.

This is all in celebration of Modular Records‘ 10th anniversary.

Ladyhawke, the Whitest Boy Alive and Temper Trap are also among the line-up

Still more than half-a-year away, Glastonbury organizers have confirmed the festivals first band.

Major Major is the first official band scheduled for next year’s festival.

The band got the spot at the massive festival after winning the RockStar Bands competition held earlier this year in Pilton.

Glastonbury festival 2009 will take place June 26, 27 and 28.

Animal Collective have announced a series of new dates set for early next year.

The band is now set for dates in London, Manchester, Paris and Berlin before heading for the States where they will play shows in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

The group’s new album, ‘Merriweather Post Pavillion‘, is set for release via Domino on January 20.

Bloc Party have announced a handful of US winter shows.

The jaunt, in support of their latest album ‘Intimacy‘, will kick off in Los Angeles on December 10.

The tour will also include stops in Oakland, Las Vegas and San Diego where the band will wrap things up on December 16.
