Lee Hazlewood and
Nancy Sinatra’s classic ‘
Paris Summer‘ as well a
Burt Bacharach’s ‘
My Little Red Book‘.
The song ‘My Mistakes Were Made For You‘ features the London Metropolitan Orchestra as conducted by Arcade Fire violinist Owen Pallett.

Beck has added a handful of dates to his forthcoming North American tour kicking off later this month. The jaunt, in support of his latest release ‘Modern Guilt‘, will now include stops in Tulsa, Toronto and Montreal as well as an additional date at New York’s United Palace Theatre.

Next week will see the release of
Stereophonics sixth studio album, ‘
Pull The Pin‘. The twelve-track album will hit store shelves here in the US on September 9th four days after the band kicks off their first U.S. tour in over three years. The twelve-date jaunt will kick off on September 5th in Boston and will run through several major cities including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle where they will wrap things up on September 21st.
‘Pull The Pin‘ isn’t the group’s only release on November 18th they will release their Greatest Hits album titled: Decade In The Sun: The Best Of Stereophonics. The Greatest Hits album will contain twenty of the band’s biggest hits.

Santogold has mapped out her fist headlining North American tour to begin later this month. The ‘Goldrush Tour‘ is set to kick off September 19 at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York. Among the dates announced are performances in Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles where she will wrap things up on October 14 at the Wiltern.

Wolf Parade have announced details for a forthcoming North American tour. The jaunt is set to kick off November 1st in Buffalo, New York and will will run through November 14 when they will wrap things up in Montclair, NJ.

The Decemberists have announced details for a forthcoming US tour. The 10-date jaunt is set to kick off in New York’s
Terminal 5 on November 5. Among the dates are shows in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle where they will wrap things up on November 30.
In other Decemberists news, the band recently unveiled plans for a singles series, with the first volume set for release October 14, followed by the the second and third volumes in November and December.

The View have mapped out a massive tour of the UK set to kick off in October. The Dundee band have announced a 35-date jaunt that will include performances in Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds and Dundee. The band will also be releasing a new single, ‘5Rebeccas’ on October 27. The new single is the first from their forthcoming sophomore album and will feature new B-side tracks ‘Dun Deal’, ‘Mr Men Book and ‘For You’.
Tickets for the tour, which kicks off October 16 in Dunfermline Velocity, go on sale tomorrow (September 3) at 9am (BST).

With the North American leg of their tour set to kick off in a couple weeks
Goldfrapp have lined up additional tour dates for fall. The new dates are in Australia and the UK and will kick off after they finish their US and Canadian jaunt.
In other Goldfrapp news, they will be performing at this weekend’s Hydro Connect Festival in Scotland on Sunday (August 31).

Stone Temple Pilots have announced additional dates to the North American leg of their reunion tour. The band’s next live show will be in Vancouver, British Columbia on August 30 followed by an appearance at Seattle’s
Bumbershoot Festival the next day.
Stone Temple Pilots reunited earlier this year, shortly after frontman Scott Weiland split with Velvet Revolver.

Matt & Kim are set to kick off their North American tour next month on Halloween at the Danbro Brewery Warehouse in Brooklyn. The 16-date tour will also take them to Montreal, Detroit, Chicago, and Pittsburgh, PA where they will wrap things up on November 21. Joining Matt & Kim on most nights is the band Best Fwends.

The Rapture have lined up a few North American DJ dates set to kick off later this week. Band members Vito Roccoforte, Gabriel Andruzzi, and Mattie Safer are set for various DJ sets in the US, Canada and Mexico. The first DJ set is taking place this Wednesday, August 27, in Toronto, Ontario and will feature band members Mattie Safer and Gabriel Andruzzi. That will followed by a date in Los Angles on August 28 and Mexico City on August 29.

With the release of their fourth album, ‘
You & Me‘, the
Walkmen have extended their tour. US fans got a chance to pick up the new album this Tuesday (August 19) and now fans in the Southeastern U.S. will get a chance to catch the band live thanks to a recently added leg of the tour.
European fans hoping to get their hands on ‘You & Me‘ will have to wait a few weeks. France and Switzerland get the album on September 15, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg get it on September 22.

Glasvegas have announced the details for their first-ever headlining US tour. The band is set to kick off the six date tour on September 29 in Boston, MA and will continue through Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore and Washington before returning back to New York to wrap-up on October 4. They will be touring in support of their debut album, ‘Glasvegas‘, which is slated for US release in early 2009.

Neil Young has mapped out a massive North American tour this autumn. The jaunt is set to kick off October 14 in St. Paul, MN and will include stops in Vancouver, San Diego, Los Angeles, Montreal, Chicago and New York where he will wrap things up at Madison Square Garden on December 15. Young will be joined by a five-piece band and will get opening support from Death Cab For Cutie and Everest from October 14-November 5, and Wilco and Everest from November 29 through December 15.

Bloc Party fans who got to chat with the band last night (August 18) on
blocparty.com, then you know the bands major announcement.
Bloc Party revealed during the
webchat that their new album ‘
Intimacy‘ will be available this Thursday (August 21) as a digital release. The surprise announcement means that fans will get to buy the digital album in only three days time. The album will also be available as a CD set for release October 27 and will feature additional songs. Fans who head over the band’s website,
blocparty.com, and pre-order the CD will receive the digital album on August 21. ‘
Intimacy‘ was produced by
Paul Epworth and
Jacknife Lee and was recorder in Kent and London.
Bloc Party are set for an appearance at
Reading and
Leeds 2008 (August 23 and 24) and will headline the
HydroConnect festival on August 30.

Death Cab For Cutie have unveiled dates for their forthcoming UK tour. The seven date jaunt kicks off November 12 and will run through November 19 when they will play their biggest ever UK show at the Alexandra Palace in London.

Sam Sparro has once again been forced to cancel his forthcoming US tour citing visa issues. The tour was set to include recently rescheduled dates stemming from a cancellation at Santo’s Party House in New York on August 5, as well as two dates in Los Angeles on August 6 and 9. Those dates were canceled also due to visa issues and rescheduled for September. Sparro had also previously canceled an appearance at this past weekend’s V Festival.

Coldplay have added dates to their soon to be resumed US tour this October. Chris Martin and co. are now set to play shows in Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Atlanta. The tour, in support of ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends‘ commences on October 26 in East Rutherford, NJ and wraps on November 26 in Phoenix, AZ.

The Hold Steady have been getting a lot of attention lately. Currently in the midst of a US tour the band along with frontman
Craig Finn continue to find ways to stay busy and have managed to due just that by teaming up with
The Counting Crows.
Finn and Co. are set to open up for the
Crows on a few of their forthcoming European tour dates. The
Counting Crows are currently touring with
Maroon 5 but will head across the pond this December and they will be bringing
The Hold Steady along with them.
The Hold Steady, meanwhile, will be playing at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC tonight (August 14).
