CSS highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Donkey‘, just got a whole lot better for fans Stateside. Fans who pre-order the album, which is due out July 22 in the US via Sub Pop, will receive a three-song bonus CD-R with two tracks not found on ‘Donkey‘, as well as a demo version of the track ‘I Fly‘ from the new album. Only those who head over to the Sup Pop web store before the release will get the bonus disc, so go there fast.

CSS will also be bringing their Donkey love to the US when they kick off the North American leg of their tour July 30 in Minneapolis, MN.

Scarlett Johansson has just released a seven song iTunes Live Session EP. The EP, which is now available on iTunes, consists mostly of Tom Waits covers including ‘Anywhere I Lay My Head‘, the actress also covers The Cure’s ‘Boys Don’t Cry‘.

Oasis have unveiled the tracklisting for their forthcoming album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul‘. The album, the follow-up to 2005’s ‘Don’t Believe The Truth‘, is due out October 6 on the band’s own label Big Brother. Among the tracks included are ‘The Shock Of The Lightning‘ and ‘Falling Down‘ which was purported to have been remixd by the Chemical Brothers and leaked online. The fist single from the new album, ‘The Shock Of The Lightning‘ is due out September 29. Via NME.

We are getting a bit more details about I’m From Barcelona’s highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Who Killed Harry Houdini?‘. The tracklisting for the forthcoming album has been unveiled. The album, which was inspired by magician Harry Houdini, will hit store shelves October 14th through Mute Records.

Rilo Kiley frontwoman Jenny Lewis is set to release her new solo album, ‘Acid Toungue‘ is September. The album, the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Rabbit Fur Coat’, features collaborations with several artists among them Johnathan Rice, Farmer Dave Scher, Jason Boesel, Jason Lader and M Ward as well as a duet with Elvis CostelloChris Robinson of The Black Crowes and actress/singer Zooey Deschanel of She And Him also contributed to the record which was recorded in just three weeks at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, CA. Lewis turned the album into a family affair enlisting her sister Leslie Lewis to sing backing vocals on a couple tracks while her father, Eddie Gorgan, played bass harp. Lewis has also mapped out dates to promote her new album. The singer will be kicking off her twelve date tour on September 16 in Boulder, CO  and will be accompanied by Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst on a few dates.

The complete set list for the forthcoming music video game ‘Rock Band 2‘ has been unveiled and is shock filled with great bands and tracks. Among some notable highlights are Bikini Kill’s “Rebel Girl“, Interpol’s “PDA”, Nirvana’s “Drain You”, Bob Dylan’s “Tangled Up in Blue” and several more. The ‘Rock Band 2‘ soundtrack will feature over 100 songs with over 80 songs on disc plus an additional 20 bonus tracks to be made available for free download later in the fall. As Of Montreal prepare for the release of their new album, ‘Skeletal Lamping‘, which is due out October 7, the band is also gearing up for a tour to support it. The tour kicks off August 8 at Poland’s OFF Festival and will continue to London, Paris, and Copenhagen, Denmark before heading to North America for shows in St. Louis, Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles where they will wrap up the jaunt on November 22. Opening duties for the band on the North American leg of the tour will be shared between Health, who will support on a few of dates and Sinkane who will open up on other dates with the remainder to be announced. Of Montreal will also be showcasing their new member on their forthcoming tour, Ahmed Gallab, aka Sinkane, has joined the band.

Cold War Kids have announced details of their highly anticipated sophomore album. ‘Loyalty To Loyalty‘, which is the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Robbers And Cowards‘, will contain 13 tracks and will be released on Downtown Records in September. The Long Beach, CA 4-piece are also set to embark on North American tour next month in support of the new album.

We are now getting a little more details about Bloc Party’s forthcoming single ‘Mercury‘ which was premiered recently on BBC’s Radio One. The single is set for release in the UK on August 11 and in the US on August 12. To the disappointment of American fans, ‘Mercury‘ will only be available as a digital format in the US while the UK will be getting the single in a variety of formats including a CD version featuring remixes by CSS and Flosstradamus. They will also be getting  7″ and 12″ versions of the single as well as a limited edition “disc set” (disc box) that will include all three formats.

Rilo Kiley bassist Pierre de Reeder is going at it alone and is set to debut his solo album this year. Reeder, who is still in Rilo Kiley, will release his solo album ‘The Way That It Was‘ on August 12 in the US. The 11 track album was co-produced by Dave Trumfio and took over five years to complete. Collaborating on the debut album are Rilo Kiley bandmates Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett and Jason Boesel.
