With less than two months to go, Franz Ferdinand have finally unveiled the album artwork for their forthcoming album.

The band unveiled to artwork for ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand‘ to NME.

The new album is set for release January 26.


Biffy Clyro has been confirmed as the headliner for the final day of RockNess festival 2009.

The Scotland event is set to take place June 12 through 14 and will also see performances by The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx and Dizzee Rascal.

Tickets for the three-day fest are on sale now.

Oasis guitarists Noel Gallagher has released a 10-track compilation album.

The compilation was released exclusively through iTunes and includes tracks by The Pretty Things, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd and Elvis Presley.

The compilation also includes comments alongside each track written by Gallagher.

The forthcoming Live Earth India has been cancelled due to the recent attacks in Mumbai.

Organizers for the charity festival, which was due to take place December 7, released a statement saying they are “shocked and saddened by the tragic events of the last few days”.

Live Earth is an annual world concert that takes place at locations all over the world and sets out to inform people about climate change.

Live Earth India was set to raise money for the Climate Project India charity and the Light A Billion Lives campaign.


Radiohead have premiered the fan created video for ‘15 Step‘.

The video was created by Kota Totori as part of the band’s Animated Video Contest.

The contest asked fans to create videos for tracks off the bands’ ‘In Rainbows‘ album.

We previously told you MySpace would be premiering winning fan videos during this month.

The final winning video to be premiered will be for ‘Videotape‘ and will be released on November 29.

The six-date jaunt will kick off March 9 in Atlanta, GA and will run through March 21.

All Tomorrow’s Parties (ATP) New York has announced the initial line-up for the forthcoming festival.

The 2nd annual festival will be returning to Kutsher’s Country Club in Monticello, New York from September 11-13, 2009.

Dirty Three, Suicide, David Cross, Animal Collective, Anti-Pop Consortium, Atlas Sound, and Panda Bear are all set to take part in the event.

Jenny Lewis has announced two solo U.S. shows to take place early next year.

The Rilo Kiley frontwoman will perform on January 21 at the Seattle’s University of Washington’s Meany Hall and the following day at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.

The university gigs will be in support of her second solo album, ‘Acid Tongue‘.
