The Flaming Lips have announced plans to release a compilation album featuring all their collaborations as their contribution for next year’s Record Store Day.

Speaking to Billboard, frontman Wayne Coyne said the band would release the album full of collaborations they’ve done including collaborations with Neon Indian, Lightning Bolt, and planned collaborations with Nick Cave, Death Cab For Cutie, and many more.

The band are also hopping for more collaborations to include as part of the special release.

Sigur Rós have revealed details of their forthcoming double live album and film, ‘Inni‘.

The band are set to release ‘Inni‘ on November 7 via their label Krunk.

The film documents the band’s final two shows before going on ‘indefinite hiatus’.

The live dvd features tracks from the two final gigs and is 105 minutes long.

The film was directed by Vincent Morisset.

Feist has announced a string of North American dates set for later this year.

Playing in support of her new album, ‘Metals‘, the singer will embark on the tour on November 2 in Brooklyn, NY.

Among the stops announced are shows in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Girls have been rumored to be prepping the release of their sophomore album.

The San Francisco band have yet to release a new LP since 2009′s ‘Album‘, however, that may soon be about to change.

Today the band released a mysterious widget online only instructing users to post it and view it frequently.

Words (possibly lyrics) have begun to appear throughout the day on the embeddable widget which you can see above.

Chances are this will lead up to the reveal of their new album, although that has yet to be confirmed.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Earlier this year house music duo Basement Jaxx teamed up with famed Dutch orchestra Metropole Orkest to put on a concert in the Netherlands.

The concert featured a 60-piece orchestra and a 20 person choir performing versions of duo’s back catalog.

Basement Jaxx are now set to release a new album featuring recording from the special concert along with additional studio recordings.

The forthcoming album, entitled ‘Basement Jaxx Vs. Metropole Orkest‘, is set for release on July 11.

A special iTunes version of the album is set to include 3 additional instrumental tracks.

Robyn has announced plans to release the third ‘Bodytalk‘ album later next month.

‘Bodytalk Pt 3‘ is set to be released on November 29 along with a new single, ‘Indestructible‘, set to drop the same day.

The forthcoming release, which is the follow-up to ‘Bodytalk Part 1‘ and ‘Bodytalk Part 2‘, is set to feature tracks from both previous albums as well as five new songs.

This is the last ‘Bodytalk‘ album set to be released.

The band’s forthcoming new album will be entitled ‘Collapse Into New‘.

Set for release in the first half of 2011, the groups latest release was produced by Jacknife Lee.

The forthcoming album is the follow-up to 2008′s ‘Accelerate‘.

Simian Mobile Disco have announced a few details about their forthcoming techno compilation album, ‘Delicacies‘,  set for release later next month.

The duo, James Ford and Jas Shaw, will release the compilation album featuring techno singles they’ve released thought the year on November 29.

The two-disc release is set to include tracks previously only released on vinyl.

The release will be split into a mixed CD and an unmixed CD featuring mixed tracks recorded in a live studio session.
