In case you missed it, the Arctic Monkeys previewed five tracks off their new album at a live web transmission via their website yesterday (July 30).

The band played tracks ‘Pretty Visitors‘, ‘Crying Lightning‘, ‘Potion Approaching‘, ‘Red Right Hand‘ (Nick Cave cover) and finisher, ‘Secret Door‘.

All tracks, except for ‘Red Right Hand‘ which will be a Japanese bonus track, are off the band’s forthcoming album, ‘Humbug‘, due out August 25.

The live webcast, which was directed by Jose Luis Divano, lasted about thirty-mitues and saw the band play infront of lit up blue screens.

In other news, Alex Turner and co. are set to kick off their North American tour tomorrow (August 1) with a performance at New Jersey’s All Points West Festival.

Arctic Monkeys have finally given a name to their highly anticipated forthcoming third studio album.

The new album will be titled, “Humbug“, and is set for release August 25 in the U.S (previous day in the UK).

As we previously reported, the follow-up to 2007’s “Favourite Worst Nightmare” was produced by both James Ford and Queens Of The Stone Age man Josh Homme.

Homme’s produced about half the tracks on the album while Ford produced the other half.
