Kele OkerekeBloc Party’s Kele Okereke has been forced to reschedule his forthcoming solo North American tour.

The singer was due to kick off the solo jaunt on July 23 in Chicago put has postponed the entire tour due to visa issues.

Okereke has already rescheduled all canceled dates and is now set to kick off his North American outing in September.

Playinng in support of his solo album, ‘The Boxer‘, Okereke is set to play dates in Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Block Party frontman Kele Okereke recently stopped by Baeblemusic’s The Guest Apartment for an interview.

While their the singer played a few tracks off his debut solo album, ‘The Boxer‘.

Kele OkerekeBloc Party’s Kele Okereke has announced a few details about his forthcoming solo album.

The frontman is set to make his solo debut with the release of ‘The Boxer‘ later this year.

The album is set for release on June 22 and will be preceded by its first single, ‘Tenderoni‘, on June 14.

The forthcoming album was produced by XXXchange.

Bloc Party have released the music video for their forthcoming surprise single, ‘One More Chance‘.

The single announcement came as a surprise to fans when it was announced last month.

The track received its first radio play on June 18, 2009 on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show.

One More Chance‘ is due out August 10.

Bloc Party, Placebo, and Calvin Harris are among the acts set to take part in the month-long iTunes Live Festival in London.

The event, which will kick off on July 2nd, will see bands play free shows every night throughout July at London’s Roundhouse.

Other acts confirmed to play the event include Friendly Fires, Oasis, Mika, and Kasabian.

Although the event is free, it is not open to the public, and you must win tickets to the shows by entering at ituneslive.co.uk.



Placebo
Radiohead, Bloc Party, and Kasabian are among the latest confirmed acts for Austria’s forthcoming Frequency Festival.

Also confirmed for the three-day event, which is set to take place in St Pölten’s Green Park from August 20-22, are Jarvis Cocker, Grace Jones, and the Editors.

The new additions join previously confirmed acts including Glasvegas, The Ting Tings, Crystal Castles, and MIA.

Franz Ferdinand, Lily Allen, and Bloc Party are only a few of the recently confirmed artists set to play the forthcoming T In The Park festival.

Also set for the three-day fest, which is set to take place July 10-12 in Scotland, are Simian Mobile Disco, The Ting Tings, Manic Street Preachers, and many more.

Tickets for the festival go on sale Friday (February 27) at 9am (GMT).
