Interpol are set to support U2 on the bands forthcoming North American tour.

The New York band announced plans to open for Bono and co. on their ‘360 tour‘ kicking of later this year.

Among the dates Interpol is set to open are shows in Minneapolis, Toronto, and Chicago.

Paul McCartney has announced the first two dates of his forthcoming 2010 ‘Up And Coming‘ tour.

The singer is set to play the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona on March 28 which is set to be followed by a performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

The forthcoming jaunt is McCartney’s first U.S. tour since his five-week ‘Summer Live ‘09‘ tour last year which included a headlining slot at the Coachella Music Festival.

The ‘Up And Coming‘ tour will see the singer play a diverse set spanning his entire music career including tracks from the Beatles, Wings, and The Fireman.

The tour is also set to feature “never-before-played-on-US-soil songs”.

More tour dates are set to be announced soon.

These New Puritans have lined-up a handful of U.K. tour dates in support of their forthcoming single.

The band will kick off the short jaunt on April 15 in Liverpool and will play dates in Edinburgh, Sheffield, Nottingham, and London.

The band are set to release their latest single, ‘Attack Music‘, on April 19.

The forthcoming single is off the band’s sophomore album, ‘Hidden‘.

Joanna Newsom, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, and St. Vincent are all set to play the MusicNow festival in Cincinnati this spring.

The festival, which began in 2006 as a place for contemporary music and artists to perform, is set to take place from March 30 – April 1.

This year’s bash will see Newsom play on March 30 followed by St. Vincent the following night.

Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon is set to close the fest on April 1 with a solo performance.

Among the dates announced are shows in New York, Boston, and Detroit.

The jaunt will be in support of the bands latest album, ‘Daisy‘.

Animal Collective’s Panda Bear aka Noah Lennox has announced dates for a forthcoming solo European tour.

The short three-day jaunt will kick off January 15 in Berlin and will run through November 17.

Although Lennox has not released a solo album since 2007’s ‘Person Pitch‘ the musician has stated he has been working on a follow-up solo album.

Spoon have line-up a few dates for a forthcoming tour of the U.K. kicking off next year.

The short jaunt will be in support of the band’s upcoming seventh album release, ‘Transference‘, due out January 26.

The band will kick off their tour on February 14 in Glasgow and will play dates in Manchester and London.

Dan Deacon has been forced to cancel his U.S. tour after being hospitalized.

The musician who suffers from acute sciatica, or severe back problems, was hospitalized after his acute sciatica got worse.

Deacon, who was touring in support of his latest album ‘Bromst‘, canceled his November 13, 14, and 15th shows and will also cancel tonight’s show (November 16) in Purchase, NY as well as Wednesdays (November 18) show in Baltimore, MD.

Deacon wrote about the hospitalization and tour cancellation on his Facebook page, telling fans, “On Wednesday evening the pain had come to a peak. It was impossible to bear and it was frightening, since I had no idea why this was happening.”

Writing about the cancellation the musician promised fans he would reschedule his cancelled dates.

Green Day have announced two dates of a forthcoming UK stadium tour set to kick off later next summer.

The band are set to play a show at Manchester Lancashire County Cricket Ground on June 16 and at London’s Webley Stadium three nights later on June 19, 2010.

Tickets for the Lancashire and Webley gigs go on sale November 6.

The band are also set to play a show at Paris Parc Des Princes on June 26.
