With the release of their fourth album, ‘Now We Can See‘, only a few months behind us The Thermals have already announced details bout their next album.

The band are set to release the as-yet-untitled album on September 7, 2010.

The band are set to hit the studios sometime next month with Death Cab For Cutie’s Chris Walla to record the forthcoming album.

The Dead Weather have been confirmed as headliners for this year’s mtvU Woodie Awards.

Jack White and co., who themselves are nominated for a Woodie, will perform at the awards show on November 18, 2009 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

The sixth annual awards show, which is set to air on mtvU on December 4, will also see performances by Matt & Kim.

Death Cab For Cutie members stumbled on the video and liked the video so much they decided to use it as their official video for the track.

Andrew Bird has announced dates for an extensive tour of North America.

The jaunt is set to kick off July 7 in Los Angles and will run through several major cities including Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.

The forthcoming tour is in support of the singer’s latest album, ‘Noble Beast‘ released earlier this year.
