On November 22, Atlantic Records will release a remix EP of Death Cab For Cutie‘s most recent album, ‘Keys and Codes‘.

Titled ‘Keys And Codes Remix EP‘, the EP features a collection of seven reworked tracks from the bands album.

Last week we brought you a preview of “Doors Unlocked and Open” by Cut Copy, today sees the release of “You Are A Tourist” remixed by 2 Bears.

The Flaming Lips have announced plans to release a compilation album featuring all their collaborations as their contribution for next year’s Record Store Day.

Speaking to Billboard, frontman Wayne Coyne said the band would release the album full of collaborations they’ve done including collaborations with Neon Indian, Lightning Bolt, and planned collaborations with Nick Cave, Death Cab For Cutie, and many more.

The band are also hopping for more collaborations to include as part of the special release.

Death Cab For Cutie have prewired the music video for “Stay Young, Go Dancing“.

The track is off the band’s latest album, ‘Codes and Keys‘.

The Treasure Island Music Festival is only a few weeks away.

The 2-day festival is once again retiring to San Francisco from October 15-16.

Currently in the midst of a North American tour, Death Cab For Cutie have announced a couple of additional U.S. dates.

Death Cab are now set to play dates in Kansas City, Missouri and Pomona, California.

Death Cab For Cutie‘s current tourmates Frightened Rabbit recently recorded a cover of Death Cab For Cuties‘ “Different Names for the Same Thing“.

The band recorded the track, which is off DCFC‘s 2005 album ‘Plans‘, alongside a river at the recent Osheaga festival outside Montreal.

The group covered the track for Invisible Children, a non-profit organization that works toward bringing peace to Northern Uganda, and a charity supported by both Death Cab For Cutie and Frightened Rabbit.

Speaking to Spin Magazine about the cover, Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison said “I almost tried to ‘countrify’ the song, as it has such a strong beautiful melody. It’s a very simple song at its core, so I just stuck with that basic structure and let it be plaintive and sad.”

Death Cab For Cutie recently stopped by the BBC for an in-studio performance.

Among the tracks the band performed was a cover of “Twisterella” from Ride‘s 1992 album ‘Going Blank Again‘.

The annual Treasure Island Festival is once again returning to the San Francisco Bay for its fifth year.

Set to take place October 15-16, the 2-day bash is set to be headlined by Empire of the Sun (10/15) and Death Cab For Cutie (10/16).

The opening day of the festival (October 15) will see performances by Cut Copy, Death From Above 1979, Flying Lotus, Battles, Chromeo, Dizzee Rascal, Shabazz Palaces, YACHT, Buraka Som Sistema, the Naked and Famous, Aloe Blacc, and Geographer.

The second day of the bash (October 16) will see performances by Explosions in the Sky, Beach House, the Hold Steady, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, St. Vincent, the Antlers, Wild Beasts, Warpaint, Thee Oh Sees, Weekend, Friendly Fires, and the Head and the Heart.

2-day tickets for the 2-day bash go on sale Wednesday (7/27) @ 10 am PST, single day tickets go on sale Friday (7/29).

Earlybird tickets will cost only $99 then it will go to “advance tickets” at $115, finally regular 2-Day GA tickets will run $125.
