Disney officially
announced the return of “
Captain EO” to the
Tomorrowland Theater in
Disneyland.
The 17-minute 3-D musical film, which stars Michael Jackson as Captain EO, was last shown at the park in 1997.
In a recent post on the Disney Parks Blog it was revealed that the attraction would be returning tomorrow, Tuesday February 23.
The 3-D presentation won’t be exactly like the original presentation since it is “not possible to replicate some special effects elements”.
The new presentation will include better sound and acoustic enhancements as well as “boast a new 70mm print of the film”.
The original ‘Captain EO‘ ran from 1986-1997 at the Tomorrowland Theater.
