After officially reuniting one year ago this month, Guided By Voices are set to release a comeback album.

The band will release the new album, entitled ‘Let’s Go Eat The Factory‘, on January 1.

The album will be the band’s first release featuring the band’s classic lineup since 1996′s ‘Under the Bushes, Under the Stars‘.

After wrapping-up a reunion tour, Guided By Voices (the “classic” lineup) are set to release a new album.

According to MOJO, the band are set to release the new album, entitled ‘Let’s Go Eat The Factory‘, on January 1, 2012.

Work on the new album has not yet wrapped up and the band are currently in the studio working on it.

The release will be the band’s first release since 2004′s ‘Half Smiles of the Decomposed‘.

Early next month, Arctic Monkeys are set to release the latest single off their new album, ‘Suck It And See‘.

The single for “The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala” will be released on August 15 via Domino Records.

The band’s latest single is set to be backed by an exclusive B-side featuring Miles Kane and the Death Ramps.

The B-side track is titled “Little Illusion Machine“, and is a previously unreleased track.

Sony‘s Music Unlimited service has launched on Android powered devices.

Similar to Apple’s iCloud, Google’s Music Beta, and Amazon Cloud, Sony’s Music Unlimited allows users to stream music in the cloud.

Users can stream music from the services extensive catalog as well as streaming your own music in the cloud.

The service, which is powered by Qriocity, cost $3.99 a month for the basic plan and $9.99 for the premium plan.

Music Unlimited is only compatible with Android phones running OS versions 2.1 – 2.3.3.

We Are Scientists have revealed plans to enter the studio later this year to record their next album.

In an interview with NME, frontman Keith Murray announced plans to begin work on the follow-up to 2010′s ‘Barbara‘ by the end of the year.

“We are currently working on a follow-up to ’Barbara’. The plan is to record it in the autumn. I will admit that the three of us are very bad at getting work done when we’re in the same room, but I think it’s going to happen later this year. I’m partial towards getting it done,” said Murray.

The annual Summerfest festival is set to return once again to Milwaukee, WI for 11 days of music.

Featuring over 700 acts, the annual bash is one of the world’s largest music festival.

Organizers for the event began announcing the line-up last winter and have finally announced the last few acts this week.

Among the headliners for this year’s event are Jazon Mrza, Kanye West (w/ Kid Cudi), Katy Perry, and The Black Keys.

The festival is set to feature 11 stages with the main stage/venue set to be the Marcus Amphitheater, which is where most major headliners are due to perform.

Other acts set to take part in the festival are The Flaming Lips, Meat Loaf, Rise Against, and Wanda Jackson.

This year’s festival runs from June 29 – Jul 3 / July 5 – July 10, closed monday.

Tickets for the Marcus Ampitheater headlining shows are sold individually via Ticketmaster. General admission passes, which allow access to all the other stages, are also available via Ticketmaster in 1-day ($13.00), 3-day ($33.00), and weekday ($6.00) packages.

Manchester Orchestra have announced a few details about their forthcoming new album.

The band are set to release their latest album, titled ‘Simple Math‘, in March 2011.

The forthcoming album is the follow-up to 2009′s ‘Mean Everything To Nothing‘.

The band recorded the new album at Blackbird Studios in Nashville and in their hometown of Atlanta.

Set for release in the first half of 2011, the groups latest release was produced by Jacknife Lee.

The forthcoming album is the follow-up to 2008′s ‘Accelerate‘.
