The Black Belles are prepping the release of their Jack White-produced debut album.

The band will release the 11-track album on White‘s Third Man Records label this November.

The first single off the new album, entitled “Honky Tonk Horror“, will be released on September 27 with B-side track “Dead Shoe“.

Jack White has teamed up with Insane Clown Posse to produce the band’s take on a Mozart song.

Insane Clown Posse (ICP) have recorded their take on Mozart‘s “Leck Mich Im Arsch“, which according to the press release is a little known track by the famed composer which translates to “Lick Me In The Arse“.

The track is set to be released as a single featuring B-side track, “Mountain Girl“, and is set for release September 13 via White’s Third Man Records.

The single will be released in very limited quantities with only 100 copies set to be made available to purchase via Third Man‘s brick and mortal location in Nashville and another 50 to be mailed out randomly.

The Raconteurs have announced plans to play an intimate concert in Nashville, TN.

The band, which features Jack White, will play Third Man Records on Wednesday, September 14.

The performance marks the band’s first show of the year.

A limited number of tickets have been released on Third Man Records website with a few others tickets to be sold from the Third Man Records retail shop in Nashville, TN from Tuesday Aug. 30th at 10am.

Jack White, Bob Dylan, and Norah Jones are among the artists contributing to a forthcoming collection of Hank Williams songs.

The album, entitled ‘The Lost Notebook of Hank Williams‘, will feature never before released songs from the country music legend.

Set for release on October 3, the 12-track album is based on notes made by Williams and found after his death in a leather briefcase which belonged to him.

The notes contained in the briefcase included unfinished lyrics and ideas for new songs all of which have now been turned into full songs and recorded by a host of artists.

Other artists contributing to the forthcoming album include Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crow, and Alan Jackson.

Hank Williams died in 1953 at the age of 29.

Although the White Stripes might no longer be together that doesn’t mean new material doesn’t surface once in a while.

Two previously unreleased (as far as we know) covers by the White Stripes have popped up online.

The first is a cover of Love‘s “Signed D.C.“, while the second song is a cover of Otis Redding‘s ‘I’ve Been Loving You Too Long‘.

Both tracks were previously released as a limited-edition 7″ available exclusively to Jack White‘s Third Man Record‘s ‘The Vault‘ platinum members, both now all White Stripes fans can enjoy.

White had previously announced he would be releasing unreleased material by the duo to ‘The Vault‘ subscribers and this seems to be just the beginning with more material still to come.

“I’ve Been Loving You Too Long”

During his performance the blues musician, whose real name is Steven Wold, surprised the audience with a few special guests, Jack White, Alison Mosshart, and Led Zepplin bassist John Paul Jones.

All trio joins Wold for a special version of his song “Write Me A Few of Your Lines“, with Jack on drums, Jones on bass, and White on drums.

On last nights episode of “The Colbert Report“, Stephen Colbert wrapped up his 3-part series with Jack White.

Colbert capped things up by touring Third Man Records studios, doing a photo shoot and premiering the track he recorded with the Black Belles, titled “Charlene II”

The Black Belles ended the show by playing their own track, “Charlene“.

The Black Belles are set to perform tonight on “The Colbert Report” and are set to be accompanied by Jack White and Stephen Colbert.

The band, who are signed to Jack White‘s Third Man Records label, will play the late night comedy show as part of an ongoing 3-part series where host Stephen Colbert recruits White to help him reignite his music career.

On last nights episode Colbert asks White to help him launch his comeback after being part of 80′s new wave band Stephen and the Colberts.

White decides to team up Colbert with the Black Belles, who are signed to his label.

“With your qualities and their good looks and musical talent we could probably put something together,” White tells Colbert.

The band will make there debut along side Jack White and Stephen Colbert on tonights episode of the show which airs on Comedy Central.

Yesterday Stephen Colbert showed part 1 of a 3 part interview with Jack White.

In the episode Stephen Colbert tried to jump back into the music business and seeks the help of Jack White to launch his comeback.
